Getting the hang of it

For my sins I fly a few types of aircraft.. Purely as a hobby.. Although being semi retired now. I am going to give up powered flight.. The costs are beginning to hit me hard.. My preference is gliding. Which I tend to do from a site that has a fantastic ridge, so that I can spend a long time in the air using slope lift.. I have two sons that also fly gliders. So it runs in the family.. When I wish to just go out for a quick flying session local to me.. I drag out my Paraglider and hit the local hills.. I get great enjoyment from that. As winter sets in. I stop flying. I don't like getting cold.. It does take a little while to shake off the rust and get up to speed in the spring.. Apart from the above. I spend my spare time (when not on the radio or cleaning) making candles of various types.. Some of which I sell, as they are unique.. I have built a number to order, to fit in with peoples homes/rooms.. At the last count I had over thirty different fragrances, and twenty different waxes in different colours.. I like to use Soya wax rather than the standard paraffin wax. Much less smoke and it holds the fragrances well.. No this is not a sales pitch in case you are wondering. It is something that I get satisfaction from.. Trish

Both sound like nice hobbies.
I am sure flying is fun and relaxing.
Candle making who doesn't love scented candles! ;D
