Hello!
I am very new on this list. My intention is to introduce myself as a new member, but it was difficult to me to find this place where I can write my message. If I do something wrong, please forgive me that.
My name is Tuulikki and my call OH7YL / OH7XX and as You see, I live in Finland, in the homecountry of Santa Claus.

You may wonder why I have 2 calls. So couple of words to explain it.
When I got my radio amateur licence in May 1975, I was offered possibility to choose my call, because there was so few YLs in Finland then (only 56 YLs in whole country).
When I made my decision, I believed that the call OH7YL was reserved, I had seen it in callbook, so I said that 7xx would be nice. A little bit later I found out that OH7YL was not reserved anymore but it was too late then.
For already many years the new radio amateur calls have had 3 letters (the personal part). Now, maybe couple of years, it has been possible to buy a radioamateur call with 2 personal letters and choose the letters if only that call is free.
We do not have many YLs in this 7-area - only couple.
Last summer I found out that call OH7YL is free so I decided to buy it.
So now I have two radio amateur calls: OH7YL and OH7XX
I will keep that old oh7xx-call for a time and maybe after some years I am going to be just OH7YL. It feels much easier to say
Oskar Hotel seven Young Lady,
than Oskar Hotel seven X-ray X-ray hi hi!!
There are so many friends all over the world which know me by the call OH7XX so I decided to take some time to become just OH7YL.
Just now I have not antenna, so I am not able to work by my radio. Sorry! I do hope that I could get my skyloop up again.
I joined this group in the beginning of December but I was a little bit busy to become acquainted with this system so I am very late. I´m very sorry about this delay.
Now I want to wish to all of You
