Hello Ladies and greetings from a crinkly old geezer in the UK..
My name's Martin, I'm from London and was licenced in 1979. I found my way here from a link on the BYLARA website.
I really popped in hoping to recruit a little help from you girls. I've just started a new UK based Amateur Radio forum and website to replace a local one that closed on Dec 31st.
It's picking up nicely with about 150 members so far, BUT only 5 of those are female. I'm trying to start a Ladies section but it seems a bit pointless with only 5 female members so far.
The ladies section is called 'Lara's Croft' (I'm sure you can work it out)...
What I'm hoping is to pursuade a whole gang of you to pop in and help me by starting a few female topics. They don't even have to be about radio if you don't want. Handbags and shoes are fine... Why do girls need so many handbags and shoes anyway? (but I digress)
I'm not looking to steal you away from here, just borrow you for awhile. In fact, I'm all for link sharing and I've already added a permanent link back to this forum in our link exchange page. I hope to drive some traffic your way, albeit most of 'em will be crinkly old geezers like me.
You can see your link on: sitedreams.com/radio/links_text.html
or you can visit the forum direct on: sitedreams.com/radio
I'm also working on a banner page. When I get it up I'll add your banner as well (unless you don't want me to).
Take a peek. If you like it, help me out with a post or two.
If I don't see you there, then I hope you all had a nice Christmas and I'd like to wish you all a prosperous New Year.
Warmest regards.... Martin....
Oh, by the way: My local 2mtr repeater, GB3OK, is also on Echolink, node 280040.
