As you may have notices, this board is a bit quiet right now, HiHi!
I was wondering if anyone can think of any ideas for getting new ladies on the board.
I am having something put in Radcom in November so that may bring a few members in and also thinking of doing some leaflets for the rally that is coming up in Leicester.
I would love some more members from other countries but am not sure how to get the word out about the site, so if anyone has any ideas the please please let me know ;D

Oh I went to the Leicester radio rally today and I had created some leaflets for Ladies on the Air that I wanted to leave on a few tables, but I forgot them!!!!
Think I must have been having a blonde moment! There were lots of ladies around too, it's such a shame. The next big rally that I go to I will definitely take some leaflets and distribute them, even if it means stapleing them to my forehead the night before ;D

Hi Jackie, my boyfriend James (m1dst) goes to all the rallys down here in Swindon, so if u send me the leaflet via email I will ask him to take some and leave them on tables if you like? Im sure he will be more than happy to help out. If I can help you in any way, let me know. :-)

Thanks for your help ;D
I will have a look at the BYLARA website and see if I can get the website a mention in the next newsletter. Good idea Maureen!
Samantha, I will email the leaflet through as soon as I get my own PC up and running (it is saved in the hard drive). I'm currently using my dads pc at home. Thanks for the offer of help, that's great.

Yeah, he was a cutie, crazy though! ;D
Unfortunately I had to move so he stayed with the person that I was living with. I sometimes wonder what he would look like now, probably like a mini tiger!

Practical Wireless, December 2005 edition, page 12, news feature of about 140 words, title "Women Only!" , describes "Ladies on The Air" and gives URL.

hi jackie
you could visit some club websites and ask there webmasters if they could place a link with the forums details and banner on it also ham personal websites are a good way to get people to visit. Sign there guest books and enter the forums details in the post as this will show up when others visit that club or personal site and also in search engines (ie just type in my callsign and you will see what i mean ).
The RSGB and also Icom uk has a links page on the members part if you drop them a line they will add the forums details
as you know ive added your detais on my site and if others do the same then i think you will have more joining
i will mention the forum to all the sites i use as i think its a good forum and just what female operators need
hope this helps

Thanks Gordon, I could do with a bit more advertising. Get some new members in.
I did the rounds of the club hompages when I first set up the site, think I'll do them again when I get a chance.
Thanks

Hi Jackie I will be happy to put links on my sites and the RGSB local website. Perhaps you could submit a small write up, say half A4 to publish as a bit of publicity (No restriction on size, only a suggestion, photo's welcome. Send to me via e-mail). Alison
