Hi Jackie!
It does tend to vary on Echolink depending on the group! The ladies I go on with usually have a 'net control' who passes the mic over as in a normal radio net. but to save time they normally say to pass it on to the next person and then the nest one, telling us all the correct order of course, just to save time. If everyone is operating Echolink it is relatively easy as most people just run down the list comes up on the right hand side when you are in conference. the problems arise if someone is operating through a Repeater using 'proper' radio because their callsign does not come up on Echolink - that is when it is handy to have a controller. We always use callsigns, etc as we would on HF, etc because it helps those not on a PC and is good practice for going 'on air'. don't owryy, you'll get the hang of it quickly enough! you can also type messages in which is useful!
I'll put you on my favourites list and keep an eye out for you. If you someone on that you'd like to speak to just call them as you would 'on air' using your callsigns.

Someone would have to find me when I am on. during my day time( I am -6hours UTC) time is fine with me I am home and can have computer access. Just a matter of me remembering which time here is there.

7pm is a bit of a difficult time as I am usually just bathing Daniel and then getting him to bed. If you are making this a regular thing I will try dropping in once he is asleep and seeing if anyone is still around.

Hello Ladies, Ok with the Baby Jackie i do understand, So how about 8pm on a Friday night that would make it 2pm in the afternoon for Renae and ok for any others that want to join in.
OK it is very easy to connect to me as soon as you have echolink up and running just use CTRL and O and a box will come and you put in there MB7IBH-L press connect of put in the node number 257003. OK use of echolink is the same as a 2mtr chat Just as a check if you look on the top of Echolink there is STATION click on that and go to connect to Echotest Server click on that and you will connect to it when you have connected you can talk and what you say will come back to you that will give you a sound check to make sure all is working ok. OK anything else i can help with please let me know.
73 for now Roy G1GRB

Hi Roy and others,
I've been reading some of the messages and would like to join in any of the YL nets (HF or Echolink). If someone can give me the days and UTC times please and also the station call sign to log into I'd be very happy. I've been looking for the UKLOTA station which was up on Echolink a while back and can't seem to get any information about it. I'm usually on the YL nets which Jackie circulated in the recent e-mail and would love to have some others join me.
Cheers, Shirley VK5JSH in Adelaide, South Australia where we've had the first decent rain for 6 months.

So sorry, I meant to reply to your recent email about Echolink, hopefully if you have taken down the details from this post then you should be able to meet up with some other members via Echolink. I've found recently that if I don't manage to reply to an email straight away I end up forgetting all about it. Glad you have got some rain finally ;D We are expecting snow tomorrow! 33's

Hi Shirley!
Apologies - I keep forgetting on Saturdays and then when I do remember it is usually the week you're not on!! I'll get it right one of these days. I know a reminder is usually sent out and when I read it I think 'I must remember tomorrow night' and then I forget. I think it is the effect of being a fairly recent great-grandmother - it's made me feel even older, Hi!!!!
Jackie, there was snow in all the places round about us overnight but we got none until this evening. Not much yet, though!

Hi Everyone,
Apologies from me also. I have been quite ill for the last few days and haven't been on the pc or internet at all so have missed all this. I received an email saying that there would be nets every first and third Saturdays, is this correct and could someone please give me the correct Node number and Frequencies etc as well as the echolink just incase one method fails. I would very much appreciate the info.
Thanks in advance M3LHI ~ Zo
