I have had a member of the website ask me a question relating to the recent newsletter for UKLOTA that has been sent out. They wanted to know if the £5 membership was related to this site.
UKLOTA is going to be a radio club and was set up by Linda. Membership to this club is currently set at £5, and I believe that membership forms will be sent out soon.
While I fully support the UKLOTA club I have to make a point to mention that it is no way linked to this website. This is a free message board and it is free to join on this site and always will be. It is against the rules and regulations to charge members to join.
Even if it wasn't against the rules, it does not cost me anything to run so I wouldn't ask for payment from anyone.
The only link between Ladies on the Air website and UKLOTA is that we are both working together to bring more YL's in to the hobby. And also, I am sure that once Linda is ready to go with membership, there will be a lot of members from this site joining UKLOTA.
(Linda, I want you to know that I fully support UKLOTA but I had to make this post. If Proboards believe us to be breaking rules and regulations they will delete the message board without warning).
33's to all.
Jackie

That's fine Jackie - as stated in the Newsletter, UKLOTA is a seperate legal entity to this message board of Jackie's. We share common aims but they are separate although we do each support each other - though not financially.
If anyone has any questions relating to the newsletter of UKLOTA as an organisation, please feel free to email me at the address below.
Regards, Lin
