Hi folks
I heard at the weekend that RAFARS are working on a new award - probably to be called 'Airfields On the Air'. I'm awaiting details but will post more info as and when I get it. Those of us in the air Cadetsd will be able to activate places that few people will have access to so we are looking at having a special day for the Cadets in the North of England to operate from several locations. Again, I'll let you know when it has been organised!

I have now received the info from Vince. Unfortunately, at this time, the Award will only be available to Members of RAFARS or to ATC Squadrons! Sorry to mislead you all but this was not mentioned to me when I first heard about it. Mind you, that does not prevent anyone from contacting any of the AOTA Stations when they are on air. you might get some interesting QSL cards!!
