Of course I don't mind you returning, it's lovely to see you back! :-)
I can understand about PC problems, I have been having a few myself. Steve spend the whole of last night formatting my laptop.
We are all well at this end, Daniel is teething so is a little grumpy, but other that that fine.
How are things with you, hows the intermediate studying going? I started studying the advance book book have been too busy for the last couple of weeks to look at it!

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for your Warm Welcome back ;D
I am so pleased to hear that everything at your end is going well. I remember when mine were all teething...sheeeesh it was a worrisome time, however they all came through it with teeth...lol. I was so excited when all their first teeth came through...But I am sure that every mom is the same ;D
It sure can be a pain in the neck this pc business. One minute your system is fine...the next minute endless problems, but for now mine is all ok...touch wood ;D. Hope your's is fine after Steve reformatted it and hope you have managed to get all the programs n drivers etc re-installed ok.
Study for the 2E course is going well so far. Wednesday just gone we did the wiring of a plug and fitting Pl259 to a piece of coax. Thankfully I passed that bit but having shaky hands didn't help. One of the tutors decided to stand over me while I was on with it...bless him...he was just standing there incase I needed any help, but it had the opposite effect of making me nervous and shaky...shouldn't have done really because the guy was only being really helpful...guess at the end of the day I just wanted to do it right but would have been totally embarrassed if I had got it all wrong...which didn't happen thankfully....I dare not look at the full course book untill I have got the 2E out of the way...but hope you can get back to reading it soon...let us know how you get on...

Laptop seems to be working brilliantly at the minute, just hope it lasts I actually picked up the advance book again last night. It's gonna be a while before I am at a stage to pass the exam, but hopefully I will get there. Here is a good site for you Zo: www.hamtests.co.ukIt's free registration and lets you take example tests of each level. I've been through the advanced ones a few times (it picks random questions). Best of luck, 33's Jackie

Hee hee hee...Thanks Jackie for the link and for the thought, but I have happilly been a member of Hamtests since the beginning of November and it has helped me tremedously. It's certainly a site that I would recommend to anyone taking up a course in the hobby at any level. Eldest daughter has used the site and I think it has helped her too. She sits her exam very soon so am keeping fingers crossed for her. We didn't know about the site when me, hubby, Dan n Stacey took the exam but I am positive I would have scored full marks if I had...however not saying that I am going to get full marks in the 2E course because the course goes into the subject of electronics much deeper and I still have one or two things that I need to get my head around. One or two of the members of our local radio club...insists that the 2E is the more difficult of the three because they say it's a big step from foundation level to intermediate level and the Full Licence Course isn't such a big step up...I hope to goodness they are right in that....
I am glad that the Laptop is running well and hope it stays that way for you for a good long time..

I'm sure that you will do well. In all my mock exams I didn't do so well and only just scraped through and even failed a couple. But in the real think I got 43/45! I guess that I got lucky with the questions really!

Excellent to hear you did better in the real exam!!! I too am hoping to get lucky with the real thing. Our mocks arn't until January so won't be able to gauge anything until then.
