I think it looks like we have all been busy preparing for the holidays. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Years too, just in case I don't make it back for a few days!

Merry Christmas Renae and Tom.
Well I didn't manage to bob back last night...house full...lots going on...baking happening..smell of home made sausage rolls and home made mince pie's brought back that familiar christmas time smell to the house...hee hee...The kids were all hyper with excitement even us older ones...last of the prezzies wrapped...last of the shopping done...just got to wait for the day itself tomorrow...
Well I hope everyone's plans are going well and as expected...I hope everyone has something they wanted as a prezzie...I hope those that thought they would be alone have unexpected visitors and invitations to spend Christmas Day with a relative or a friend...I hope those that have no special person find that special person and have the most wonderful of christmas'es...and above all...Everyone be happy if you can...

All quiet here! If I haven't bought it now it is too late! Even had time to go and see the new great grandson today. He arrived 2 weeks early weighing in at 6lbs 5 ozs but after 4 weeks is up to about 8lbs. but he still looks so tiny! And guess who forgot to yake a camera with her? Mind you, I also forgot to take the christmas cards - but I did remember the pressies!!
Have a great time everyone! Merry Christmas (sorry I'm not being politically correct but I'm too old to change!). Best wishes to ALL.

Here I am back with you all - HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I bought a new PC and it is taking me ages to transfer everything across, especially trying to get all my old emails to show up again!
We've had quite a quiet and lazy time here since christmas but now HE is back to being a workaholic and I'm trying to catch up on my Cadet paperwork. From catching up with everyone's news things are looking promising for an 80m Net but from the times Renae is quoting it may be a bit late at night for us here in the UK. Still, we can only try!!
Best wishes to everyone and here's hoping 2007 sees the introduction of a successfule Net and lots of new members!

Maureen that was what i thought but at least there is still hope that I can actually hear and make contact with the general area. I haven't had the chance to really listen to 80 meters during (my ) day time or the early morning ( since I am generally awake at 5-6 am) that may be another possible for me. But when ever the net is I wil attempt to make contact ;D

Hi Maureen, Glad that you are back Happy New Year To You Also It can be a bit of a pain in the neck getting info from a pc to a new one. I had this to do with my old pc last year but thankfully it didn't really take too long for me because the only things I was worried about losing was my photographs. Luckilly I didn't lose any and all was well. With regards to the net...I will try and make whatever frequency and time is decided upon. If 80mtrs is the decided band then I will get hubby to sort out the antenna needed for it.

Hi Folks
At least I've got this board back on my 'Favourites' list - got to get the priorities right! We only have a trapped dipole for 80m so hope it will do the trick - only one way to find out!! We have a beam which is awaiting repair (has been for about 2 years!!) but it doesn't work on 40m and 80m - or so I believe! Anyway, if it is broken it's academic! whatever is decided I'll give it a go. Look forward to catching up with some of you!
