The first YL IRLP/EchoLink net for 2007 is happening this Saturday at 2100 UTC so we hope to see/hear you there.
Net information:
It is on the first and third Saturdays of each month at 2100 UTC, which for those of us in New Zealand and Australia corresponds to the Sunday morning following the first and third Saturdays.
We use IRLP reflector 9008 and Echolink conference *VAN-IRLP* 256919. These two systems are linked together digitally, so anyone appearing on one system will be linked into the other automatically. Our thanks goes to the owner Dave VE7LTD and to John KC8FRW for liaising.
Ann ZL3TNT is the net control station and I will be sitting next to her doing the paperwork.
Other YL Nets that we are aware of are:
The VE3TTT one on the VE3TTT-R EchoLink node at 2130 UTC alternating Wednesdays.
YL email mailing lists and reflectors:
- The email list that supports the use of this IRLP/EchoLink net. Send a blank email to yl_net-subscribe_at_yahoogroups.com to subscribe.
- The yl e-mail group has a mail-reflector administered by Angela PE1BIV. To be added to the group, please send Angela an email at yl-hams01_at_scholder.nl

I will try to remember.
2100 UTC is 3:00pm my time. If I am home at that time I will check into the net.

Great Maureen!! All been well I will be there.
Do you mind if I copy that info and send it in a mass email to all members of Ladies on the Air? Just in case anyone doesn't have a chance to get on the forum and misses it.
Also, it will give you and Renae a chance to see if you can now recieve forum emails, lol.

Hi Everyone,
Two points, is the next net on Saturday 27th Jan and what band and frequency do I need to be on to use the IRLP Node and what CTCSS Tones etc failing the use of Echolink? My headphone/mic isn't too good at the moment. I willl try and buy new ones if finances permit but failing that I will have to use IRLP for the moment.

Hi Zo
I think the net was last Saturday, 20th, so it will be 3rd Feb for the next one. Sorry, too techy for me to know how to connect other than on Echolink.

Hi Maureen, I will make a note of that. Thank you so much for putting me right I would have kept missing the nets otherwise I will work out one way or another how to connect via IRLP Nodes and Echolink as I think it would be wise to know both. Hi Shirley, The YL Friendship net sounds great and I will endevour to make it. It will be great being able to say hello for real
