Greetings: For those of you using Echolink I offer a couple configuration tips you might find useful. Are you bothered by the transmit timer that cuts you off after a couple minutes?? This can be changed to unlimited in the case you have a long message to pass.. heres how: Go to 'Tools'..'Setup'..'Timing'. reset the "Transmit time limit to 0 (zero) & click OK...problem solved. The audio alarms can be changed to a custom .wav file or done away with by going to 'Tools'...'Preferences'...'Signals' . I found some CW .wav files online & set mine to 'C' for connect, 'D' for disconnect, 'A' for alarm & 'T' for the text. The over beep is disabled. A website you might find interesting is Echolink MapI hope you find these tidbits useful and I'm glad to see the site uses UBB tags instead of HTML tags which can be maliciously used. 73 from 'Downeast' Maine...de JW

Adding a second monitor to your computer has many advantages. Although I am on a dialup server I can keep several things going at the same time.. With a second monitor you can drag a link to the other screen to load it as well as watch two sites at the same time. ALSO I strongly recommend Mozilla Firefox as a browser as you can have several "tabs" going at the same time. It also has some security features I like..pop-up stoppers etc.
