Hello Maureen and I think I know the other Angie G4? who I think lived in Essex and was very active in Bylara but did not use CW. The lady I am thinking of once worse a faux fur coat to Harlow Rally and was really sophisticated. I might have worked you because I have been known to use a mic and it really does throw people when they hear me on SSB or 2m FM because I am very well known as a CW supporter. Guessed now? 33s Angie G0 very QRQ

Maureen, my RAFARS number was only a few after yours! I became a Corporate memberafter they changed the rules by virtue of having been an ATC CI and the late G3JUT who used to run the G8FC station was my best friend. Another good and local friend is G3JLZ Squadron Ldr Retd. My late Father BTW was an RAF Policeman during WW2. If I get back on the air I will probably rejoin. That's some big clues.

M3LHI de G0??? Zo I wanted to congratulate you by the way and welcome to Amateur Radio. I can still remember the thrill when my first G1 callsign came in 1986. I was on 2m SSB in minutes working a G3 fairly locally with a beal stuck in my lawn! In those days we had to have a variation to use CW with Class B Licences and I got one right away and I still have my first QSO all written down in inch high letters! Another YL to the hobby, Welcome and again Well Done Zo 33s Angie Thanks Angie I had my first QSO the afternoon of discovering my callsign and then the next day I had a local QSO. Tonight I had ago at accessing nodes and got through to the Antarctic Node but alas no one was about. However I am sure there will be times when there is going to be someone there to chat to Thanks Again Angie

Hi Angie! Yes I think you have the Angie I was thinking of but I thing she was a G0 as well. I have not been a RAFARS Member for a few years even though I am fully entitled to join by being ex-WRAF and current ATC - you might have guessed from the call-sign - it is significant! How long since you were a BYLARA Member? I have just resigned but won't go into that! I am still thinking ;D Maureen

Who is the other Angie"? I mightr be her! No, you are not the 'other Angie'! doifferent last letter in teh Callsign! I have been on the BYLARA Net this morning (despite having resigned!) and was tempted to ask Irene GM0FTX if she could advise but I didn't! My brain is not switched on today - must be the rust after all this week's rain, Hi! Maureen

I think unless you do a lot of CW no one on here will know me however many clues I give? Plus the fact I have not been on the air recently and only use SSB for 2m contests if I can't get a CW contact. Anyone guessing my call n ow would be doing just that, guessing, so I will give some very strong hints as to the missing letters in my call and if no one guesses I will admit defeat and join this weekend! OK so you have my Prefix and number and last Suffix letter first Suffix letter is a dotty situation regarding seaside holidays and the second Suffix letter is a game played by businessmen and women with a deal on their minds. An anagram of my Suffix could mean an old, unkermpt and ugly woman! My Class B call was a G1X call which I reactived two years ago but not kept up. Good luck and have fun as I am ;D ;D Angie

OK Angie!
I give in! I have looked through some of the old BYLARA Records and only found one Angie and it aint you! I have never used CW on air so we won't have worked that way. I'm going to give the old grey matter a rest and think about the latst set of clues tomorrow! You are keeping us all guessing but it is good fun!
Cheers
Maureen

I was definitely a member but only for a short time Maureen and am intrigued as to the call you do have for an Angie? I wonder if I joined with my G1X call and forgot to tell you when I became a G0? I will give in shortly and tell you and I am enjoying this so much but I really want to become a proper member of the gang now. Back later Angie

Gang? Us? I suppose you could have called us something much worse ;D
You'll be most welcome despite puting us through the tribulations of trying to guess your callsign. Good fun, though!
The other Angie is a G0 but not ending in 'A'. I can'r find a trace of a G1X either but I don't have all the records these days - I sent most of it to my successor as Secretary.
All together now - "Come and join us"........(Just as well there's no sound on here!)
