Hi,
Did anyone take part in the ARRL contest yesterday? Just wondered how everyone got on.
North Wakefield club took part with the call sign G5X. I will have to check up and find out what our total was. I had a little go at contesting and quite enjoyed it.
Speak to you all soon.

No contesting at this QTH! I did once take part in an all-YL DXpedition for the IOTA contest. We did not do very well but we had a great time! I'd love to do an all-YL operation at a Lighthouse sometime; any takers?

Hi Maureen,
If you managed to get anything arranged then I'd certainly try and get along to a light house providing it was in driving distance. I mentioned to Steve that you were interested in doing a all-YL light house activation and he said that he would drive me there and even make the cuppa's since it was an all YL event! HI
There are quite a few of member of our local club getting together for a weekend camping in the second or third weekend in May. We'll have a radio going for people to have a go and a barbaque for the night times. We are looking at sites around North Yorkshire so if anyone on this board would be able to make it, that would be great! It's a family event so children, grandchildren and such are welcome too. I'll post more details when we have confirmed site and date.

Hi Jackie!
May is a busy month for me - a mixture of Cadet sport, a Cadet Radio Training Day and the beginning of the Car/bike Show Season. However, if I can make it I'll try to get down to see you! Nor sure of the dates for the Lighthouse weekend but I suppose it could be done any time really! We need the ON's to help set up the antennas as well as make the cuppas!!
