As of a few moments ago...I am now in possession of the new lifetime licence from the ofcom website.
My Licence now lasts until 2011 when I should go back on line to re-validate my licence.
I have downloaded a copy of my personal Validation Document to my pc for printing out and am now licenced to go on 10mtrs.
It was a bit of a job finding out how to go about getting it sorted so I could download and print out the licence so I got on the phone to Ofcom and a very nice lady there helped me to navigate so that I could download a copy of my licence. Thank you to that lady....I much appreciated your help. Not sure that she would ever come here but thanks to her anyway.
I needed to Click the Edit button in order to confirm and build my licence and follow through a process of clicking buttons till I reached the final one which asked me if I wanted to download the pdf file containing my licence. It's a process of confirming that the details you have provided are correct but I was totally unaware that I had to do this because the site didn't give too much info on it.
I would suggest that anyone having difficulties should ring Ofcom and someone will be quite happy to help you out.

Thanks Renae,
I think the problem was not enough information on the process which leads you to getting your licence downloaded. It didn't say anywhere that you had to do this. Alls well that ends well though.

Jackie, If you manage to get to the Licence Summary Page after receiving your Password and all the details are correct...then go click on the edit button...just checking that the info on each page is correct before pressing the next proceed button and you should eventually get to the part that allows you to download your licence to your pc which will then allow you to print it out

But I have given up! I've been sent a customer Ref No and Registration confirmation but don't know what my user id is and can't remember if I gave a password. When I ask for a reminder of my password I'm told there's no match!! Senior Moments strike again! Looks it'll be back to the old 'twisted pair'.

Hope you get it sorted Maureen. User Id is usually what they send you in the post about 5 days after registration. The password should be something with a Capital Letter and a number...so if you have any that you usually use with capital and number then try those..Hope that helps.

Hi Zo
They have sent me a customer Ref No and then 'REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION' followed by a 7 letter 'word' which I thought might be the user id. I shhould have written it all down when I registered - silly old me!!

Maureen I have three members of the household who have been registered for the site and it would seem that your user name would be The First Letter of Your Christian Name in Capital Followed immediately with the Surname...again first letter in Capital...so an example would be ...SBloggs...Yours would be MWhatever...(whatever being your last name...no offence intended Maureen ) Hey Tom Thanks

Hi Zo
That's what I thought it might be! Brain is getting completely addled with Christmas at the moment!! And Rennae, I do clear my 'history' quite often, especially as I've been looking at a lot of 'Graphics' sites lately in search of good web stuff! Good idea though - thanks!
