We just have a simpl log book, it is a beige color. Dave and I share the log book, we just put our initial so we know who made the contact. Yeah, that sounds like the same sort of one that I have. Although I was very tempted after seeing a nice looking blue one at a radio ralley ;D I wouldnt mind a nice looking log book myself, but since we share the book simple is best.

Here in the UK the licensing conditions state that if someone shares a station then it has to be classed as the person who is using it at a particular times station. So we have by rights to have a separate log book. Think this makes it easier for Ofcom to check it should the need arise. I am hoping that never happens but will have own log book just incase

We have 'his and hers' logbooks and also keep VHF separate from HF! I print my own. That way I can have what I like on the cover without spending a fortune (well, I am a Scot!)

I got my first QSL card just about one month ago. Its from Mr. Yu(DS2QEI) in Inchoun city, South Korea. We had a LSB QSO on 40m, that is my 6th QSO. It's so excited to get my first QSL card. In fact, that's one reason for me joining this hobby - receiving cards. ;D Therefor, I don't do E-QSL currently.

You are lucky that you can hear the JA stations, I have yet to be able to make contact with a JA I have only recently hear a JA station clear enough. You are making me more motivated to get QSL cards..I think I am going to make a point or ordering some this weekend.

Thank you, Renae. Actually, I believe you will meet a lot of JA stations in the future. Check the PRELIMINARY SUMMARY OF K7C (Kure Atoll Expedition) OPERATIONS (Link as below), there are 21380 QSOs in Zone 25 (JA area). JAs really love this hobby. www.cordell.org/htdocs/KURE/KURE_pages/KURE_Preliminary_Summary.htmlRecently, around UTC 00:00/ My local time 8:00am, I can hear some stations from North America and South America in 15m and 20m (SSB). Most of them are from CA. It must be fun while the propagation gets better and better. Thanks for the link Katie! I wil for sure check it out. Iknow it is easier for California to getthe JA's I am in Illinois which is almost the middle of the country so it is a bit harder. I know conditions wil get better I know I will at some point get my JA!
