I am pleased to tell you that Mark, G4LCH - the Echolink Expert has agreed to come online and tell us all about Echolink and what we can and can't do with it. This is on the UKLOTA Conference Server. We're fixing up a date, possibly next Thursday or Friday evening around 2130 GMT. I would suggest that any of you who are considering trying Echolink visit the site at www.echolink.org and download the program and get your callsign validated asap so that you are able to join in the chat next week. As soon as I have a definite date and time I will, of course, let you know straight away. This is an ideal opportunity to talk to Mark about Echolink and UKLOTA - we hope you can make it. Thanks, Lin

Renae, hope you get your router problem fixed soon Zo me too I dont know how to correct it, all I know is that the router wont let me connect. I dont understand what it means by allowing ports 5198 and 5199 I have set in my windows firewall and Norton firewall to allow echolink...I dont know how to allow the router. *** TCP Connectivity Test *** The UDP port 5198 test FAILED: Receive failed (10060). This means that EchoLink cannot communicate with other stations over the Internet. Be sure your router, firewall, or security software is allowing EchoLink to receive messages over UDP ports 5198 and 5199, and that your Internet service provider (ISP) has not blocked this port.

We will try and do the online thing with Mark next Saturday or Sunday 3/4 December if possible - I'll let you know definitely when I know!!
In the meantime I hope to speak to you on UKLOTA this Friday evening, as usual.
Don't forget to use the Conference Server in the meantime though - it is there to be used and available for all Yl's worldwide 24/7.
