Early warning of the final Contest of 2006 is now upon us
in the form of the RAC Winter Contest. It takes place from
Time/Date :-
0000 UTC to 2359 UTC on December 30, 2006.
Exchange :-
Stations in Canada send RS(T) and province or territory.
VEØs and stations outside Canada send RS(T) and a serial number.
The multipliers :-
with their postal abbreviations and prefixes are:
Nova Scotia [NS] (VE1, CY9, CYØ);
Quebec [QC] (VE2, VA2);
Ontario [ON] (VE3, VA3);
Manitoba [MB] (VE4, VA4);
Saskatchewan [SK] (VE5, VA5);
Alberta [AB] (VE6, VA6);
British Columbia [BC] (VE7, VA7);
Northwest Territories [NT] (VE8);
New Brunswick [NB] (VE9);
Newfoundland and Labrador [NL] (VO1, VO2);

OH9SCL :- Santa Claus ses active every Year from Lapland, is this week
active on HF 20M with a nice Pile-up as usual. Listen for him throughout the
Festive Season.
CF3RCS (which stands for Canadians Freezing 3 Real Cold Spot) from
Bate Island, (No IOTA)
VU7LD :- A special permit to operate on 30 metres has been granted to
the VU7RG expedition to the Lakshadweeps (15-25 January).
K8HGY/4 :- Tybee Island, (not IOTA, USI GA-008S) and
c*ckspur Island, (not IOTA, USI GA-029S) & lighthouses (ARLHS
USA-864/USA-181) on 26-31 December.
4S7UCG from Sri Lanka from 26 December to 5 January.
JS6RRR or JS6RRR/JS6 Miyako Island (AS-079, JIIA AS-079-005) from 28
December 2006 to 9 January 2007.
