Dave's dad had his own photgraphy studio(he is deseased now) ...subsequently Dave is NOT into photography at all, maybe because he grew up with his dad's photography studio .

Quite possibly Renae...Kids do have a habit of trying to avoid things that the parents are into. Mine aren't so bad...My Youngest Daughter Stacey took as many photo's on Orkney as I did...she loved it...

My other hobbies include several things. Knitting (when I have the chance), sewing (i'm in the middle of sewing to crib size blankets for my cousin's new borns. Well one new born, joined us here on December 26th last year, and the other cousins child to be is due in February. Luckily I've got till February to get them done because I won't see either of them till then likely. The one lives in New Jersey and won't be up till February and with my work I'm as busy as a bee so taking a road trip for the day is a luxury I find.
Other hobbies pretty much include playing the piano I've been doing that for 20 years almost and that's pretty much it. As for sports though I like to swim, bike ride (mountain/trail biking), and hiking.

I have absoulty no musical talents at all, I can not sew ( except to hem things) I can not knit or crochet and I have no crafty talents. I am envious of those who have those talents! I am sure your cousin will like the crib blankets! ;D

It's funny that two of you have mentioned knitting because I have just picked up some needles yesterday to start making a blanket for Daniel. It will take me forever because I'm not very good at it and haven't done it since I was a little girl but I figure it will be nice to have something to keep from when Daniel was a little baby (although he might be around 18 when I finish it ;D)

Yeah I know what that's like. When my cousins were expecting their first child just over 2 years ago I started to knit a blanket for the baby and was gonna give it to them when they were up at christmas however that fell through. I got so far with the knitting then got bored and stopped and when I had about a month till they were coming up I decided for their first child I would make a floor blanket for the baby to sit on and lie on when playing with her toys so that's what I did I sewed together with a pattern of nursery rhyme characters on the print material and a fleece backing to put on the floor. When they announced they were pregnant this time I figured I'll just do that instead of trying to knit something in case the same thing happens and I get bored once again. I find I can work at something for about a month to a month and a half then get bored of it and leave it for quite a while. The blanket I started knitting still isn't done but i'm eventually going to have it done. (probably in time for when I have my first child which considering I'm single is way off down the road)
