Hi girls
I know I havent posted for months and months, but I just wanted to share with you that I passed my foundation course on Monday night and Im now an M3!
Sending off my forms to get my licence today, I surprisingly really excited!!
You might remember, that I only really got involved because my fiance is an M1 and I felt a bit like a radio widow!!
Hope to speak to you all soon,
73s, 88s

Hi Sam,
Congratulations! Well done to you ;D
Let us all know when you get your call sign through. I was so nervous when my call sign came through and I went on the radio for the first time. It took about 30 minutes to build up the courage, and I was only talking to a guy from our radio club!
Do you think you will go on and do your intermediate?

That's a great call sign ;D I never got the one I wanted with either of mine. I wanted JAC, but both the M3 and the 2E0 were gone. That's why I ended up with 2E0JAQ. I don't know abuout you, but I always find the Juliet too long and tounge twisting to say so I say Japan instead Have you been on air yet? I was soooo nervous on my first QSO.

As a G7 I started with the OM's old call as he had become a G0 - it made it look as though I had been licensed longer than I had! I think the initial nerves probably gave me away though! I got the G0 call I wanted though, but had to wait longer than anticipated to get it. I picked G0VRT because all Air Cadet Officers are members of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve Training Branch. We wear the same uniform as the regular Air Force Officers but with VRT on our Rank slides! There were quite a few male Officers envious of me for getting in first!!
