Hi Ulla,
No I hadn't heard of SYLRA, I guess that I am still fairly new to radio and there is lots that I haven't heard about. So please don't be afraid to come and post about something that you think I might not have heard of.
I've found the Homepage for SYLRA so I will add it to the links page. Are you involved with this club?
Well thanks for joining, it's nice to have you here.

There is also a British YL organisation - BYLARA! I was Secretary for many years and 'retired' as chairman a couple of years ago! British YL's seemed reluctant to join and we lost a lot of members over the last few years for various reasons. Maybe we could start up a new International YL Club? Any takers?

Hi again Maureen, I just recently joined BYLARA and got copies of their last few newsletters, very interesting reads. I would be interested in an international YL club but I know that I won't have enough time to arrange something like that. I have to work full time plus over time probably up till Xmas so I am already running on a pretty tight schedule. I would definitely join though and help out all I could, if someone else arranged it. Also if anyone did want to arrange it they could post all the links and anything they needed for joining on here all they wanted.

Harold, thanks for your support, it's great to know that we have the support of guys too.
Mark, I haven't even seen this months Radcom! I will have to have a look when I get a spare five minutes. I think I have a long way to go before I am taking part in CW contests but I know I will get there one day!
Renae, radcom is a monthly magazine that is issued to all members of RSGB (radio society of Great Britain). There are lots and lots of members there so I know there will be a lot of people reading about Ladies on the Air over the next few day. I wrote a little piece for the newcomers section a couple of months back and they asked me for a photo. If I can borrow a scanner I will try and post the article.
