I have just received an email telling me of the 100th member, congratulations and welcome.
I am sorry I have not been posting but my husband became more dependent on me and was very ill. He spent the last two weeks in hospital and died yesterday.
I have not got back on the air since we moved here last year because I have been too stressed and busy but when the Funeral and everything is over I may get back.

Jackie and Renae thank you for your messages. I tried to reply last night but had forgotten I needed to be logged in which I have now done.
The Funeral is next Friday 15th at 1.15pm just one week before what would have been our Sapphire(45 years)Wedding Anniversary.

Sorry for not getting back, I had the Funeral to arrange and get through without family support but I did have three radio hams there. I am now trying to pick up the pieces of my shattered life and console a depressed cat who loved John very much as I did too. This Friday would have been our 45th Wedding Anniversary. I feel quite empty and frightened but having so many friends in the hobby helps but I wish my Brother was here and not in Canada.
I am not sure if I can bear to stay here and I might move right away from the area but that could be some time so I will get some sort of station going soon. When you have been a carer and have someone depend on you and suddenly find you have a lot of me time it is not easy to fill it so I think getting back to the hobby will be good.

Hi Angie, again, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. I am glad that you have your hobby to keep you busy, although I appreciate that this cannot take the pain away, just take your mind off of it for a while.
If you want to chat at all, please feel free to send me a personal message on the forum or send me an email to

All the best, jackie x
