Do you get a lot of snow wher you live? Generally we don't get a lot of snow,( some years are snowier than others) if we do get snow it is anywhere from December through begining of March ( rarely we get some begining of April) We got a little bit of snow last wednesday, daughter took this photo of snow on our tree... I thought it was a cool photo.

Aww, that looks pretty We don't really get that much snow. It tends to be windy, cold and wet here for the most of the winter. We do get the occassional blizard that totally kills any chance of getting to work on time! Our roads are not made for snow I love snow though, my mum and dad have some friends who live in Canada and we were once talking to them and told them that we had some snow. They asked how many feet ;D We get 6 inch of snow and we call work and tell them that we are snowed in ;D

As we are only a mile inland from the sea we don't get much snow here. In the 20 years I have lived here we have only been snowed in once! Mind you, I can drive a couple of miles inland and find 2 or 3 inches when we have none!
I remember one bad year in Edinburgh when I had to leave the car at work because there was a sudden blizzard. I couldn't get home and had to spend the night with a friend who lived near my office. It didn't help that the gritter drivers were on strike! We had temperatures of -17c one night! Brrrrr!

We had temperatures of -17c one night! Brrrrr! i ahd to convert the temperatures right now it is pretty cold 10 degrees(-12C) which is about that temperature it has been 0degrees at night the last several nights (-17C) If we get a cold winter the actual temperature ia below 0 with wind chills of -10(-23C) -20(-28) our average temperatures are 20(-6C) - 30(-1C ) degrees in winter with January the coldest month usually personally I would rather have the cold than the blazing hot summer where it is 90+(32C) degrees

Blimey, that is cold We had some record breaking temperatures this past summer, not much fun when you are 40+ weeks pregnant I can tell you! About a week after Daniel was born we had the hottest day ever recorded here, about 36 C. For some reason we decided to pick that day to drive out to the coast to visit Steve's sister, it was a real pain trying to keep Daniel cool.

We can get really cold in the winter and in the summer really hot. I think the hottest we ever got was something like 105(40C)-109(42C) I would not have been a happy camper being pregnant in the heat! Our daughter was born in January (2nd 1989) so I wasnt too far along in the summer otherwise I would have been miserable in the heat! the temperature you expierneced is about what last summer was like here for us...too hot for my liking!

Like Jackie we don't get too much in the way of snow here either. Two years ago it snowed properly for the first time in a long time on Christmas Day ;D It was great because all the Kids were out having snow ball fights on the street with all the other kids from the area...one or two of them were adults too...Me and Den were happilly left to make the dinner but that wasn't so bad because we were able to get on with things without anyone getting underfoot....This year there will be 10 here on Christmas Day so I was hoping that we could have snow again. However either way I am looking forward to it.

Here in southeast of Sweden we usually have snow during wintertime. The picture is from last winter and it was taken from my living room looking out. Right now the weather here is almost like late summer or autumn. The temperature is about +10C and my husband and I can play golf on the weekends. We really would like to have a white Christmas this year, but I believe the snow will come late this winter, probably in January or February. Merry X-mas to you all! 33´s from Ulla SM5XAX [/img] ps I was going to add a image but I didn´t succeed.ds

Hi Ulla. I think the only way you can add a picture at the moment is by using a website like www.photobucket.comThat will change from January though because I am going to upgrade the forum so that you can upload photos directly when you post.

That looks so lovely!!! We haven't had snow like that here in years. Fluffy white snow turns me into a big kid. I can't wait until Danny is old enough to go out and make a snowman. Every time we do get snow I want to go out and make a snowman but would look rather strange at 25, HI!

I'd just love to have that much ground with our house!!
Hi Ulla - great to 'see' you back again! I spent a couple of weeks in Sweden in winter about 30 years ago. It was lovely. I was introduced to Cross-country ski-ing and had great fun. but as my ski-ing had been downhill and slalom I found it really hard at first. It was a bit embarrassing to be overtaken by speeding 5 year olds!! I was staying with a friend in Jonkoping - it is a lovely town.
God Jul!!
