I totally agree! I have given blood in the past, my blood type is AB+ and is quite in demand, although every drop helps, whatever the blood type. At the moment I can't give blood. I have a low blood count because of the amount of blood that I lost when I had Danny and it isn't quite up to normal yet. Plus I have high plateletes and the doctors haven't quite figured out why One everything is back to normal I will be giving blood again. I started after my sister lost almost 4 pints of blood giving birth to ger first baby and needed a transfusion. That's kinda close to home and made me think!

Totally agree! I used to give blood regularly and got my silver badge. Actually, I think I was eligible for the gold one but I couldn't prove it because I lost my original record card. I started giving it in the air force when I was 18 and gave regularly over the years until they stopped taking it because of the varying medications I was on. I remember when I was working in Edinburgh the Blood Transfusion Service used to visit the Office every 6 months so it was easy for us to give blood. Mine is common but it all helps and you never know whose life you might help to save. I'd like to think there was plenty available if I needed it which is why I believe in giving it.
