Are any of you girls on EchoLink? Since some of you Glamour Girls joined my forum, the locals are getting inquisitive and want to hear your voices.... If you are, gb3ok, a 2mtr repeater covering London, Kent and a lot of Essex and Surrey, is also on EchoLink Node@ 280040. I don't go on the air a great deal, but I do have the repeater on in the background while I'm on this computer and I'll make an exception if I hear any of you on there.... ;D [edit] btw. You can find the gb3ok website on gb3ok.com

I don't know Renae, I'm having a blonde moment... ;D
You could ask them in my forum, there are loads who are into EchoLink. Or I could ask for you.
Alternatively. If you have a local EchoLink repeater where you are, you can DTMF the 280040 into that and it'll connect. That way you can use your new callsign with no problems.

I asked a friend of ours who uses echo-link a lot he wasn't sure he gave me two suggestions, (to try the change call sing or uninstall and reinstall) At first I tried to change call signs, >tools >setup >(clicked) change call sign but that just said invail password, so Well I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with my new callsign, then when it needed to be validated there were 5 options the first one was to verify my old call sign's password, and some other choices) once I did that I was immediatly validated. I did the same with Hubby's new call sing on his computer Now we can use either computer's echo-link with our new calls. * I rarely (almost never) go on echo-link I was only on a few times. I am not very knowledgable about echo-link at all. just talked direct with a friend once or twice. I would not like being on a repeater through echolink where others can hear me "stumble over my words" LOL

Well done Renae! I sometimes stick Echolink during the day to see if anyone is around. If you see me on give me a shout (I'll try to remember to turn on my speakers but that means remembering more than one thing at a time!!)

Glad you got it sorted. Now let's hear both of you on 280040.... I don't use EchoLink myself, but I enjoy listening to some of the QSO's that come through GB3OK.
