Hi all Just thought I had better make myself known to the group.. Name is Trish .. I am reasonably active on most bands after a long break from amateur radio.. My callsign is G8DZC . I'm always on the lookout for new contacts. Generally I am on two meters.. My present set up consists of a fully loaded Yaesu FT-726R which feeds into a tri band co-linear... HF operations are through a Kenwood TS-680 into a CG 3000 automatic tuner, which feeds into a 13 Meter long wire.. It tunes up very well on all bands, including top band... That tuner is impressive. It was by pure chance that I stumbled upon this group.. Glad that I found it, and I will spread the word.. 73's to all

Thank you Bongo & Renae. We should be able to have a QSO sometime Bongo.. I do go up to Sheffield once every month or so. I take the VHF rig with me when I stay at a friends house there..
The boards seem to be rather slow moving.. So I guess that I should post something to help get things rolling along..
Last weekend the HF bands where alight with the CQ WW DX Contest... I was hoping to join in the fray. But for some reason my system decided to become live with RF from 7 Mhz upwards.. Looks like an earth problem.. So I gave up on that.. The weather isn't that good for going out to check things at this time..
I will check back in a day or so.. Take care all..
Trish

Trish In another life, we could very well have been neighbors Trish. Mum is from Cornwall and Dad was from Brecon, thus the ‘1000 Welcomes’ has been an often heard item all through my life…… I however, was born in Slough and we lived in Stoke Poges until immigrating to Canada and finally to America. ;D

The land of traffic lights (all powered by the local electricity generating station) ... The smell of sweet essences from the Mars factory nearby.. I know it well.. John Betjeman did a great poem about Slough ---> SloughTrish
